HOMETOWN: Atlanta, Georgia

BEST KNOWN FOR: Mambo/Salsa

Gordon Neil is what you would call ‘a dancer’s dancer’.  He brings an amazing repertoire of skill, improvisation, and smoothness to the dance floor.   Other professional mambo dancers often mention Gordon’s name as someone they respect both as a performer and an instructor. Gordon began dancing at the age of 9 and his early dance career was influenced by hip-hop.  Hip-hop dancing is something he enjoys to this day.  He lists Prince, Michael Jackson and Gene Kelly as his early influences.  He is the organizer of the event Flava Invasion that takes place annually in Atlanta.  His favorite dance memory is his first performance at a major event, the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress (2000).
